Fibromyalgia, Arthritis & Raynaud's Disease
Without reservation I recommend acupuncturist Lucy Jupp to future patients. She has helped me deal with a number of chronic health problems over the past 3 ½ years. First she has helped me cope with the pain and inflammation of fibromyalgia and arthritis, thus enabling me to lead a fuller and more active life. In addition her excellent treatment has helped me manage Reynaud’s syndrome, allergic rhinitis and the muscular-skeletal difficulties of an old injury to my left trapezius. Her careful diagnosis and choice of therapies, all based on traditional Chinese medicine, have complemented the treatment I receive from Western GP’s and consultants here in Oxford. Her cheerful and competent manner creates a special healing oasis in each and every appointment.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Lucy. I want potential patients in Israel to benefit from her skilful therapeutic practices as much as I have done.
Sincerely yours,

Arthritic Pain & Fatigue
I originally came to Lucy for help with arthritic pain and fatigue. To my surprise the acupuncture helped me with this and many other symptoms and over time really and truly gave me my life back after feeling diminished for so long. Lucy was determined to get to the bottom of my health issues and she works with great compassion, wisdom, knowledge and tenacity with a good dash of humour thrown in too! I would wholeheartedly recommend her and also acupuncture because it really can help in amazing ways. T - 2013
Depression & Joint Pain
The knee pain (pain on flexing) disappeared after just one session.
The finger pain (painful on extending and flexing) took much longer to treat but is now very slightly painful on flexing but I can live with this and will not have the operation for a torn muscle as prescribed by a Western doctor prior to being treated by Lucy.
The treatment of the depression took more sessions and although less tangible initially, the questioning about how I had been feeling and reacting in between sessions really highlighted to me how effective the treatment was being at the time. I have continued to use ear seeds after my last session with Lucy, to great success and I can honestly say that I feel like a new person and can not remember a time that I have felt this content. I do not experience the dramatic mood swings that I have experienced pretty much all my life and even though I know that it will be something that I will need to continue to work on and have repeat sessions in the future, I really feel that I can say goodbye to what has been the bane of my life since I can remember.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Lucy. She did a great job talking me through my options. On top of the success of the treatments, the manner in which Lucy approached the treatment was totally professional and inspired absolute confidence in me. She spent time getting to know me, my ailments and my lifestyle that could, and did, contribute to my symptoms.
I felt 100% comfortable discussing with Lucy very personal information even details that did not initially feel like they were at all relative. I believe that the time that Lucy took initially ultimately assisted in her depth of understanding of me, her treatment of my ailments and the success of those treatments.
She also took time to cover alternative solutions such as diet, ear seeds, preventative actions that I could take on a day-to-day basis and various techniques for changing my behaviours and reactions to exterior influences.
Her passion, knowledge of her subject and commitment shone through leaving me with not only an excellent experience but a belief in this alternative medicine that will ensure that I continue to turn to Eastern medicine as an avenue that I will continue to explore.

Foot Pain
As an Orthopedic Trained Nurse I became very annoyed with a persistently painful right foot, which was not responding to rest or anti-inflammatory tablets. It was simply a walking injury, no trauma, just some swelling and warmth on the top of my foot at the base of my second toe. Pushing off the ground with my foot was painful.
Having travelled to Roatan to visit my daughter Ruth, I was now hobbling along the beach like an old woman, limping pathetically. Ruth suggested Lucy and her acupuncture. Great, anything...to be able to walk comfortably!
Lucy promptly visited me the next day and after some questions about my foot and general health, she examined my foot and said she was fairly sure she could help me. I had previously showered and she now asked me to lie down on my bed and having washed her hands she explained that she would gently insert little needles at specific points around the painful area, my toes and one below my knee and another near my right wrist. Having done that, which hardly hurt at all, she then gently twiddled each needle in order to create a tingling sensation at that point. I would say "Yes" at the tingle.
Satisfied that each tweaked needle was correctly positioned, she asked me to relax for 20minutes or so. No reading or talking. I think I nodded off, There was no discomfort at all.
On her return she gently removed the needles and suggested that I elevate the foot and give it the ice treatment. Which I did. The pain was reduced but of course I did not rest it very much as I was on holiday.
Two days later she returned for a second treatment, much the same as the first, but she added another needle to the side of my foot to treat tendons. I explained that the pain was reduced but had not gone. Again, I repeated the 'ice and elevate'. We decided that we would wait 3 to 4 days to see if a
third treatment would be necessary.
By the third day the pain had completely disappeared, I was walking normally and I was thrilled to be able to phone Lucy and cancel the last appointment.
Believe me, having had that pain for nearly 7 weeks I was just so glad to be able to enjoy the rest of my stay. Thank you Lucy.
